Marvel’s ‘Luke Cage’ Returns This Summer On Netflix, Teaser Trailer And Exclusive Images Revealed

Harlem’s hero Luke Cage will return for a second season on June 22nd.

Luke Cage wants you to know that he’s coming back to Harlem very soon. And he’s got a few intimidating words for anyone willing to challenge him: “You can’t burn me, you can’t blast me, and you definitely can’t break me,” he said in the Netflix teaser. Released today, the teaser trailer announced that the second season of Marvel’s Luke Cage premieres this summer on June 22nd.

The first season of Luke Cage premiered back in 2016, and Cage (Mike Colter) began to establish a name for himself as a praised hero in the streets of Harlem. Now, as a local celebrity with a taintless reputation, Cage is faced with even more responsibility and pressure to protect those in his community. Although he possesses superhuman strength and abilities, Cage isn’t omnipresent, so he quickly becomes aware of his own limitations. According to Netflix’s official synopsis, more problems arise with the arrival of a new villain, and Cage is “forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.”

In addition to the teaser trailer, Netflix also released exclusive photos from the upcoming season. In them, we see Cage reclined in a chair at Pop’s barber shop; Cage taking a heartwarming selfie with a group of kids; and him and Misty Knight in action. Check them out below.
